Nice article, and it was surprisingly non-biased against guns. And heck, the kid shot better than most police do in an escalated situation, firing four shots and landing two.
My two sons are ages 3 and 5, and I've already bought them an airsoft pistol to teach them proper firearms handling and safety. I keep the airsoft in the gun safe right next to my XD-40. I hope they're level-headed enough to handle a situation like that when they're old enough to have the combination to the safe.
