I wrote to my Senators concerning this bill, a couple months ago. The replies I got basically said "Thanks for sharing your opinion, I'm going to vote for it anyway." Not that I expect a US Senator to actually listen to one of his/her constituents, not with so many Special Interest Groups and lobbyists to listen to.

In response to the poll question, I answered yes. That is, IF people are educated enough to know that seeking mental health treatment might mean giving up your 2A rights. More likely, people will not be that educated.

As a veteran, I know a lot of guys who came home with symptoms of PTSD. The VA and Pentagon have tried so hard to eliminate the stigma that goes along with PTSD, and get victims of the disease the necessary treatment. Now Congress, in its infinite wisdom, is going to take a huge step backwards by making it possible for a VA doctor to take away your right to gun ownership.
