One of those days

Had a bit of a confrontation on another forum today. I disagreed with someones opinion of GunKote. I was swore at and told I was smoking bad, bad things, ect. Just wanted to tell everyone here thanks for handling things like adults here at UCC. I know here I can have a difference of opinion with any of you and we will still come away friends. You folks are super :super: .

You are :super: too, FBMG. Don't let the idiots out there ruin your day! We do have a good forum with many caring individuals and families and it is people like yourself who keep it a place for anyone to visit.
I hope the rest of your day goes well! :D
Some people need to just chill. Granted, I have gotten my panties in a twist before (when I was a :noob: to the online forum thing), but now I try not to let this stuff phase me. There are plenty of ignoramuses (ignorami?) out there, but they will stay that way regardless.

Thanks for being such a good resource here.
I have to admit when people go off on me like that I tend to mouth back. Lets just say that the light fighter forum isn't very friendly to me anymore. Sucks to be them. I'll just come home to UCC.
I know what your talking about, I get that way when they start in on certain gun makers (Taurus). But I try to stay calm and cool about it, but sometimes it is hard.

:noob: :bicker: GunKote should be used on the statue of liberty, I GunKote my underwear, first born son, and entire collection of star wars figurines. :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

You'll find fanatics and r-tards on the internets thats what its for. Sorry you had someone go way to far over something so meaningless. Honestly It's one of the reasons I love this forum. Level headed people who leave personal insults out of discussion and debate ftw. I've been moderator on a few forums and this one has got to be pretty easy to take care of. I've given up on one where people just seem to wait for someone to ask a question then they pounce on them for not searching or for asking a stupid question or for being a noobs. So thanks to everyone for making this forum great.

Yes, this forum is pretty easy to moderate, just the occasional bad language that needs editing and reminding. Only rarely do we have to break up any major disagreements. Mostly a moderator here just tries to read every new post and offer help when needed on just about any subject; from legal questions to how to make links in a post. I feel quite lucky to be a moderator here, we have great members that make every day fun and entertaining. :D
Forgive me for breaking our current mood but is this one of those :crying: "I love you, Mannnn", moments.
:lol3:

Ok we can be serious again.

Come on now. Didn't you know that all of those basement warriors are THE experts.

I have heard plenty of people dis on Taurus. Fact is the first gun I ever purchased was a Taurus .22 6 shot revolver. It was an awesome gun. Lost it, long story, but got the same make again a couple years ago. My carry weapon is a Millennium 9mm. This has been an awesome piece as well. I like their guarantee, their product is good and they do well for us with what they make. Only thing I don't like is the newer styles they have produced, but that is an aesthetic thing and has nothing to do with performance.

I say if someone dis's your Taurus, or your decision to use one you ought to let them know they need to actually use one before complaining about it, and then it should only be for specific problems, not aesthetics.
Just remember the old saying that starts off "opinions are like ............. everyone's got one". Now to hijack the thread, Smithy, what's a good inexpensive gun lube?

Believe it or not I use a ton of Rem Oil both on my own guns and my customer guns. It's great for a carry gun because it dries and leaves a teflon film behind. Normal oil collects dust and lint but Rem Oil dries before anything can collect. It's extreemly thin though so be careful. I put a few drops on a Q-tip, make it go as far as possible, a drop on the sear engagement, and you're good to go.
:D
FBMG! Rem oil? Rem oil? Don't you know that will rust your gun? :lol2:

Seriously, a guy on another forum says he uses Mobil-1. I'd never heard of using that for anything other than in a car. But there were a number of posters who said they used it too. Have you ever heard of using that on a gun? Seems like a quart of that stuff (can you buy it in less quantity?) would last you a life-time!

Now that you mention it the full synthetic works very well.
