I've heard of several successful OC get-togethers involving such activities as lunch, dinner, camping, and shooting. These seem like they have been great opportunities to help make the public aware of 2nd amendment rights. I was just thinking that maybe an even more powerful message could be shown if UCC did some kind of food drive, blood drive, garbage pickup, or any other type of activity that would benefit the community. It seems to me that pictures of people open carrying while picking up trash or collecting canned food would make better newspaper photos than standing outside of the SLC airport.

Has there ever been such an event? Would such an event be possible? What say you?

Sorry about that post. I just now read the post about the May meet and saw that someone had already mentioned adpopt-a-highway. I'm glad to see such activities in the works.

For those of us who hit the mark topics read link frequently, too many posts, too little free time. A seperate thread has a better chance of being noticed than an old one with a billion replies. There was I time when I could keep up with the posts here, but without a Windows Mobile PhpBB script being installed, this wonderful site will forever be incompatible with my 'spare time' internet device... :crying:
