I have had my permit for about a year now and have never open carried. I would like to hear of your experiences with open carry wether good or bad. I am undecided with open carry because I don't know how people will respond.
I did read Utah Gun Laws by Mitch Vilos but it would be great to talk to others.Mazellan said:I sugest that you read up on open carry and why its legal becuse there are a few leos that don't know the law or lack ther of about open carry. .
Dec [email protected] Golden Corral in December 2007 we had a www.opencarry.org/uthaconcealedcarry.com togetherlilredcobra said:I think it would be a good idea to meet for lunch somewhere so that we can have a discussion on this subject. It would also be great if we could convince someone to talk to us about this, like maybe Mitch Vilos (author of Utah Gun Law). It would also be interesting to hear from the Ogden or some other city police chief so we can get their perspective on this. Who wants to organize this? Here is another thought. Maybe we can invite the press (newspaper or TV) because there is a huge lack of knowledge on this subject throughout the state.
Sounds good to me. Should be available 4 Apr.roseblood said:Yeah, it has been a few months... maybe just a simple lunch at Golden Corral with a local police chief in attendance for some handshaking and discussion about open carry efforts at the street level.
The CHIEF there...?!?!?! I GOT TO BE THERE BOYS. I don't care what it'll take. Count me in. :dancing:roseblood said:Yeah, it has been a few months... maybe just a simple lunch at Golden Corral with a local police chief in attendance for some handshaking and discussion about open carry efforts at the street level.
Barnes and Noble--that's scary. So many libs there. I'm surprised someone didn't call security.Shaolin said:Went over to Barnes and Noble and Wal Mart today, not too many people paid attention to my open carry, well at least I think so, lol It felt weird, but I like it.
It almost sounds like you'd welcome the repeat of a WVCPD incident with the state's Chief LEO present... Do you think Mark would verbally or legally tear them a new one?UTOC-45-44 said:The CHIEF there...?!?!?! I GOT TO BE THERE BOYS. I don't care what it'll take. Count me in. :dancing:
