Hello from Orem, Utah! I just moved to Utah from Washington in June and now attending UVSC and living with my wife by the college. I went to check out a Glock 23 .40 caliber from Gunnies in Orem today and they also introduced me to the Springfield XD-40 and I'm in love. Going to get it in a few months. For now I'm going to just have to stick with the Glock 17 that my work issued me.

Anyways, hello from Orem.

I'm from Orem also.
Just a note, I have been into Gunnies a few times, but kinda don't go there often anymore because they make it a point each time to dump on Glocks. I have not problem with the XD, but it seems to be an anti-Glock religion there. I just wanted some accessories, but I now know, if I go there, not mention what I carry.

FYI, you gotta love a city that will do your fingerprints for free if you live there! At least they did 6 or so years ago.

I'm going to be trying out the XD-40 and Glock 23 at Rangemasters on the 15th so going to see what I like more, but I really did like the XD. Just feels better and seems really balanced. Only thing I would change is the hand grip. The Glock has the finger grooves and the XD doesn't. I would have to get a hand grip for it.

Anyways, all of you thank you for the welcome!!!

I've felt the same about Van Wagenen's but they rag on everything except the AR15 and Glock. But, it's not unbearable, and everyone has a right to their own opinions. I sluff it off and chuckle now (I love glocks by the way, so I'm not so offended anyways. It's sure fun to go in there and see what they have.)
