Another forum I visit has many anti-gun crazies who visit it. I like to engage them in some debate.

Last night, the dumbest of them posted a link to an article that I pick apart here:

So you like to throw yourself into the lions' den once in a while and argue with the anti's. If you are going to do that, it is important to remember:
1. You are not going to change their minds. They are as firmly set in their opinion as you are in yours and arguing with them is not going to accomplish anything other than make you feel good. You'd be better off explaining your position to elected officials, or the general public via the media.
2. When you come back here to hang with us, put the animosity aside. We share your opinion. We are not the enemy. We are here to help each other. So let your posts be contributing to the greater good, not trying to pick a fight.

BTW, I enjoyed reading your rebuttal. That guy was 21 different kinds of stupid.

When you've been involved with web forums as long as I have, you start to take those sorts of things for granted.

I never take webforums seriously. That's a recipe for heartache.
