The assault weapons ban is set to expire Sept. 13 unless Congress votes to extend it. Is this ban constitutional?
No. It doesn't matter that the weapons aren't used for hunting. It's still a violation of the Second Amendment. 86.90 % (325)
Yes. According to the nationwide survey quoted in the Standard-Examiner, 71 percent of the general public favors extending the ban. The banned weapons aren't used for hunting or other recreational activities. 12.30 % (46)
