In another thread, we've discussed ways to promote this forum. One of the results was that GeneticsDave created new UCC business cards that you can print out on business card stock, then hand out to people, or leave them at gun shows. You can also take them to a printer to have the business cards printed for you, for a fee from the printer, of course. These business cards have the new orange-background UCC logo on them. Very sharp-looking! Thanks Dave!

The new UCC cards are available in:

• Microsoft Word format[/*]
• PDF format[/*]

Now we need to have a flier made with the new UCC logo (the one with the URL inside the state outline) so that we can print it out on 8.5x11 paper to post at gun ranges.

Then we need a nice high-resolution banner that we can print up to bring to UCC get-togethers. Are we having fun yet? :crown:

I'm a bit short on time at the moment, but if someone wants to make these materials up, I can get you the logo in the size you need. I would only need to know what size is needed (inches, with dpi; or pixels). Let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.

I had a few remaining cards from the last time this came up, prior to the newer logo, I handed these out during the gun show this past weekend. I also gave a few to a friend who has a few work mates interested in finding us. Hopefully this helps a small bit.

I don't have a Facebook account and have never even considered signing up there. If it depends on me doing it, I doubt it will happen.

I have a full color plotter printer at my disposal. Can make banners 3 x whatever.

I can build a page for it if you like. Advertising costs money though so for that route I'd need donations

IMO FaceBook is great for finding FRIENDS. That is all I use it for. I do not play games or "like" pages as you get connected to SO many other unwanted things and leave yourself open to their scams. If there was to be a UCC page, I would not connect myself to it.
This is only my opinion and I am not given to "tin foil hat" conspiracies...but FaceBook does make me scratch my head. :huh:

I personally promote the site thru word of mouth. Almost every time I am at the range or with new shooters (which is pretty often for me) I direct them to it for additional information. I do need to get my act together and make some of the business cards.

Yeah that's true enough. I tell everyone that I can about the site, I too should print out those cards and pass those out. There are a lot of fatal flaws with facebook I agree.
