I used to live in Kalifornia until I realized the error of my ways and moved to Utah. I remember only one thing that I liked about the state and that is the way they calculate the property tax. It is set, based on the purchase price of the home, until you sell or refinance. It was nice to have a stable payment year over year without the suprises I now get. I could use the extra money for something useful like the purchase of a new gun. I hope they follow through with this here.

I hear what you are saying and agree. I am for anything to avoid paying taxes.

Aren't the property taxes in Utah already much lower than CA?

I know mine are half what I paid when I lived back in Illinois in 2000. Maybe Utah is just starting to catch up. :dunno:
