Well went to my Republican precient caucuse to night and get myself in trouble. Guess who got elected a state delegate, and the first two do not count. It was a hard headed California replant, Me, believe me, just like being drifted. We even had a UEA ringer show up. First thing out of her mouth as she walked in the door was "I want to be a delegate". After she found out we already voted she left in a huff. :lol2:

I know I promised everyone a bit longer of a retreat than this. My apologies up-front. :)

I just wanted to chime in. I've been reading a tad bit in the background (to keep up on local 2A issues) and decided to go to my caucus tonight. Well, I also got elected as a County Delegate. Our other delegate is also pro-Waddoups.

So, for all concerned for Senator Waddoups' position, at least here in our neighborhood his position is safe! No UEA'ers here! :)

OK, I'm going to blend back into the shadows now... just wanted to chime in as well as give thanks once again for this great resource (which was one of 2 main sources that prompted me to go tonight).

Well, I commend you both for getting elected. We had 11 or 12 people show up at mine. I took my wife to her first caucus meeting & she was fairly impressed. She got elected secretary & I was elected Vice-Chair (read that--railroaded). I was looking to be a delegate, but if those elected can't fill their position I do step in. We had a great polictical discussion for about three hours too. A pleasant night. I hope many others fromn the forum were selected to represent all that is good when it comes to the county caucus meeting. 8)

Thank you all for stepping up and participating! I didn't want to sound like a nag in my reminders, but before a few years ago, I didn't even know these meetings existed and so now try to spread the information wherever I think I can get like minded individuals involved. I'm now precinct secretary/treasurer (not sure what to do yet) and county delegate. Okay, we have a real small county and each precinct has to come up with 12 or so county delegates, so basically if you show up to the caucus you are pretty well assured to be a county delegate. We actually had to call a couple of people to come late to the meeting so we could fill all the positions. Funny place. Anyway, thanks again for attending!

Hay you to Mom, why to go. We still need more to step up, we can still lose what we have. Saw it happen in Cali and it can happen here.
