My uncle brought his P345 up with him this weekend from St. George and the thing is gorgeous! It shoots and handles like a dream. He also had a laser sight attached under the barrel - worked great.

Quite compact and slim, I would carry it in a heartbeat.

I just bought a P345 today and shot 100 rounds. I did a lot of research and head scratching before I made the purchase, but I think I made the right choice for the money. It felt good in my hand in the store, which tipped the balance in choosing between the Ruger and the Springfield XD. It felt even better on the range. The grip is deeply checked, and I like that a lot.

I appreciate the safety features on this gun, even though I doubt I'll ever use the integral lock. But I really like the loaded chamber indicator - a metal strip that raises over the chambered round.

Two things caught my attention right off. First was the accuracy of the gun right out of the box. The sights have a windage adjustment, but in this instance, it wasn't needed. The second thing I noticed was that the recoil raises the gun up instead of back which allows me to get back on target quicker. (Does that make sense?) I'm trained to a double handed grip, but shot a clip with one hand just to experiment and was amazed at how easy it was to control.

My first handgun was a Ruger Blackhawk .357 and that was a lot of years ago. Times got hard and I had to part with that gun, so it's good to own a Ruger once again.
