Hello everyone! I have been spending a bit of time with the Utah Republican Party discussing this years bid for the Senate District 3 seat. This seat has been held for at least 15 or more years by a Democrat, Senator Gene Davis. While I have no problems with Senator Davis, it became apparent to me about a year and a half ago, that he is out of touch with the desires of his constituents. I found this out when I wrote him concerning a issue of fraud within the insurance industry. I had asked him to please keep me updated, or informed as to what he might be doing to fix the problem here in Utah, or to let me know where or to whom he may have passed it on to. Several months later, after having no response from him, I called him & he told me he just threw the information away! I expect more from those that represent me, as I am sure all of us do. Because of this, and the fact that no Republican has held any position of note from my district in close to 20 years, I am announcing my bid to run for the office of State Senator in the 3rd District, in the state of Utah.
I am also asking that if you have a desire for better representation, whether you live in my district or not, I will be in need of backing, both financial & later in putting up signs, making calls, or in other words, helping in my campaign. If from what you have seen of my past posts, you feel I could be a candidate whom you would be able to support, I ask for your support.
Tommorrow I am setting up a account for "Cagle for Senate" at the VAMCU Credit Union. This will be set up with a treasurer who will be responsible for the account. If you feel you would like to donate to this worthy cause I am posting my address below:
Checks would need to be written out to "Cagle for Senate" and mailed to me at 870 East 4070 South Apt. #60, Murray, UT 84107.
I will also be happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the platform I will be running on, which most definitley includes strong support of the constitution, and especially of our Second Amendment rights.
I thank you in advance for your support!

Jeff,

You asked if Murray is generally liberal. The answer is no, however the female Republican vote has been the deal breaker. They have seemed, in the past, to be more willing to break party ties and vote for a Democrat because they seem to appeal to them in an "unauthoritarian" manner. At least this is what I've been told by the Republican party chair. The elections for Congress & Senate have been almost even over these past few years, almost a consistant 52/48 split in favour of the Democratic candidates. I guess what the party chair is saying is that the female voting block fears being "told" who to vote for, and in this area that seems to be their hang-up. Why? I don't know? But I do know that we have had some great candidates in the past, such as John Swallow, who lost out twice to Jim Matheson by 52/48 % margin each time he ran.( I believe that was the figure).
I am a bit frustrated in the fact that their hasn't been much influence from the conservative side for such a long time. We deserve recognition, and a chance to bring things back to center.
I hope this answer helps.

Thank you Jampacking!

Any and all assistance is welcome for my bid for election this year. Much will be needed in order to accomplish this goal, be it a small donation, a large donation, volunteer efforts, or even donated materials or printing. I will appreciate & be grateful for every donation!
So I thank you in advance for your offer of support/donation. I look forward to meeting many of you, if you present yourself to me during the campaign, and desire to work for a healthier respect out there towards the 2nd amendment & our rights to protection of self, family & property.

:)
