We're taking a vacation to St. George and would like to know of any good places to shoot, i.e. ranges, etc.

The Utah Shooting Sports Council's web site lists a range in St. George under development. Anyone know if it's complete and where it's located?

Just looking for some more fun things to do with the kids!

In St. George, the Southern Utah Shooting sports park is open sporadicly as they are still completeing berms and shade structures. They do have a shotgun area, rifle range has the concrete pad poured and several groups use it for their copmpetitions. It is located on the road to Hurricaine. As you come off the freeway headed towards Hurricaine, you'll go down the hill and into the valley below Quail Creek dam. On the right will be the Pugatory Jail facility and the Washington CO. Fairgrounds. The range is just past the fairgrounds to the So. West. Contact person is Brent Jensen, 628-1216 in St. George.
