The Saiga shotgun came about when the Russians decided they needed to adopt a shotgun for use by the military & special police units. They just started with an AK-103 receiver, modified the bolt, made the gas system adjustable, ext. to create an AK shotgun. Then it was also adapted to hunting & modified to be legally imported here.

This is basically how they look when you first buy one.

Then by using the proper number of U.S. parts, you can legally convert it back into its original configuration like I have.
I also got a custom bayonet mount from Tromix which allows an AR-15 bayonet to be mounted....ya know, just to further anger the anti-gun folks. :twisted:
