I've been trying to put some rounds through my new PT111 to see how it holds up. After two trips to the range, I'm only at 213. I was planning on an even 250 after today. However, while loading my 12th round, in magazine #1, I managed to roll my right thumb off the bullet and sliced it on the to of the mag. So, I took a break and walked to my truck to bandage my thumb. With the bleeding stopped, I went back and loaded 7 more rounds, in magazine #2, with my left hand. Although I wanted to finish off the ammo that I had, I decided that I would fire off the last two mags and call it good. The last thing I needed was another cut finger on my weak hand.
Right out of the box, the PT111 has been accurate. So far the rounds have been 115 grain Winchesters with no malfunctions. I have read a lot of negatives about the PT111 Pro. So I figure I'll run some ammo through it and find out for myself. For me, the Taurus fit nicely compared to other pistols that I had handled and shot, one of which threw shells back in my face (two different models of the same brand pistol) and left me with nice little half-moon-shaped carbon marks on my forehead (dang I've been running all over town with those marks on my head  ).
I've attached a picture of my last target. My first two mags are the center circle, with a fluorescent post-it note stuck in the middle. The next two mags are the top post-it. And the last two mags are the post-it on the left. All four mags shot at 14 yards.
