Odd... the man who shot himself said "This incident happened because I got so used to handling guns and taking them apart and putting them together that safety measures became automatic." I would argue that his safety measures had NOT become automatic -- he was A) not handling the gun as it it were loaded, B) keeping his finger off the trigger until on target, and C) he was pointing the gun as something he was not willing to destroy.
