Anyone know if there is a way to track my concealed carry permit application? Seems like I read somewhere in BCI that if I knew the date my credit card was charged that I could somehow track the progress. I can't seem to find anymore info on their website on how to do it now.

I hear this too... in fact I think it was announced in our class, and I can't find out how to do it.

I may call them because they have had my app for two weeks now and not charged my cc.

When I was waiting for my permit BCI was 90 to 120 days out. They posted what series of permits were being processed based upon when your credit card was charged. It used to be on the front page but now it says, "We are processing applications within 60 days as required by law." Hence, I don't think you will find this feature any more.

Too bad they haven't processed my payment yet. Maybe I should call.
Time they spend on the phones answering questions could be time they spend processing permits...

How long has it been since you mailed it in?

A few months ago the web site said "Now processing applications received on MM/DD", and by "applications received" they meant "credit cards charged" so you could use that to estimate how long until they got around to processing yours. Around the end of January (IIRC) they stopped updating that web page and just changed it to say "We are processing applications within 60 days as required by law."

So, I don't think there's any way to tell, now. I'd give them at least a month before I started worrying.

I would also disregard any estimate they give you there estimation system is flawed.

If they tell you that it will be about 30 days (which by the way is what they told me and would mean I'd get it this Friday.) that only means that right then they are processing applications from 30 days ago. This estimate doesn't take into account the number of applications ahead of yours or how quickly they are processing applications. If there was a huge rush right before you submitted yours they might tell you that it should come in about a week (they are processing them from a week ago) but not come for 60 days.

I called them today and even though they told me a month ago that it would be 30-35 days Today they said they are processing them from 50-60 days ago (still processing applications from January). So I'm not getting my hopes up for my permit to arrive until mid April. I don't think I would even hold that hope out except that they are required by law to issue the permit within 60 days.
