As you may remember from last year, all but six of the Senate Democrats and ten Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) helped kill the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (S.1805) that had been introduced to protect the firearms industry from junk lawsuits that attempt to achieve gun-control by suing the firearms industry out of existence for the actions of criminals who misuse guns.
Bills to shield the firearms industry have been reintroduced in this Congress:
H.R.800
Title: To prohibit civil liability actions from being brought or continued against manufacturers, distributors, dealers, or importers of firearms or ammunition for damages or injunctive or other relief resulting from the misuse of their products by others.
S.397
Title: A bill to prohibit civil liability actions from being brought or continued against manufacturers, distributors, dealers, or importers of firearms or ammunition for damages, injunctive or other relief resulting from the misuse of their products by others.
I haven't got direct links to these bills yet, but they should be available soon. When they are, I'll modify this to add the links.
It is time to write to our Congressional Delegation to urge them to support these bills.
