Well, the time has come that I have to leave Utah. Of the two graduate schools I applied to, the one in Seattle accepted me and the one here didn't. So, we start packing the apartment in about 3 months.

In the mean time, I am thinking about CCW logistics. I currently have my UT resident permit. I certainly don't want to just get rid of the permit, so does anyone on here know how to go about changing the permit from a resident to a non-resident permit?

I would call BCI and ask except that I am on the graveyard shift right now and generally sleep through business hours. Any input would be appreciated.

Brett,

If you aren't able to keep awake in the am until you can call BCI at 9:00 am,
you may email them your questions at your convenience at:

www.bci.utah.gov/contact.html

I hope this helps you.
We will also miss you when you go--unless you keep up with this sight once you are gone. I wish you well.

Elb, there is no difference from a resident to non resident with a Utah CCW permit.
The permit will be good wherever you reside. To make everything correct though notify BCI of your COA. When you get new mailing labels just affix 1 to the back of your Utah CCW and you are good to go.

If you are in Seattle after your permit expires just fill in the renewal form which can be found on-line at BCI's site and mail it in with $10.00.

Your Utah CCW is good in Washington no matter what your state of residence is.
