Yeah, that's what the ruling is about.

The Supreme Court didn't make a ruling regarding an appropriate way to respond to getting a wedgie, they made a ruling regarding an appropriate way to instruct a jury - which was not done in the case wherein he was convicted, so the conviction was overturned.
