Good job on getting an in with the media and offering educators free CWP classes. You read my mind and probably the minds of many others here when your first thought was to arm the school staff rather than push for more worthless gun control laws.

It is hard to say what would happen if a teacher or administrator was armed, but it is obvious how helpless these students are when only the pyschopaths are armed. I plan on pushing that the Sevier School District encourage teachers to be prepared.

Thanks for trying to protect our children and keep up all of the good work!! :D

I missed it--what happened? I checked the local news websites and couldn't find anything about W. Clark, but I kinda caught the gist from your post. My oldest son just started kindergarten, and I'd certainly like to see more school staff who are able to protect themselves and the children at school.

I know a couple of people who work for the Sevier School District who would be sympathetic to such a cause, maybe I'll hit 'em up for a little push as well. :D

I tried to find info on the KUTV and Fox 13 websites too, but didn't see it either. The story was also covered on my local radio news.

Clark was interviewed on TV stating that he would give any educator/administrator free CWP classes to encourage them to carry while on the job. Of course the news seemed to give more time to the anti trying to kill the suggestion that teachers should carry and that Utah shouldn't allow permit holders to carry on school grounds.

On a side note, I immediately sent an email to Darren Peterson who is the State Senator for my district letting him know that I felt the law is well written to protect our children and to fight any new legislation trying to change the carry on school grounds laws.
