I have just purchased a Springfield XD 40 sub and loving it. Kind of new to the shooting community, but soon I will be going to get my CCW. I was just planning on going to Impact in Ogden to get the permit, but if any of you have any better suggestions as where I should go let me know. I am sure I can learn a lot from being here.

I have many friends that have had guns for years and they bought an XD and in my interest in becoming a shooter, I researched it a lot and found really nothing bad about it, only good. I wanted a higher caliber, but yet something I could conceal and that I found to be great for both. It also comes with a lifetime warranty and that is something that always helps.

I too have an XD (45), and find it to be a good shooter. I think you will enjoy the XD.

I took my class through Concealed Carry Courses of Utah. Duane and Kevan did what I thought was a good job. Duane lives in Syracuse, I think they do Saturday classes there. Go the their web site: www.utahcarry.com for more info.
