I don't remember there ever bing metal detectors or signs when I voted... but this will be the first voting season when I'll have my CFP. I'm too lazy to check the state legal code right now (at work) and wonder if anyone has the quick answer.

I would recommend placing your vote at a place other than a courthouse - something like a school, or even better, your public library. That should help you avoid any potential problems.

Well, the polling place is at a school so the court house thing isn't an issue.

If you vote early, they usually give you more locations to choose from. I would say you're safe at a school with your CFP, but I wouldn't open carry.

Aw, C-mon! I open carry in my daughters elementary school. Never had the swat team called on me! And no, not during an election, just walking her to class.

Something like that. It is carrying in a way that requires a permit, but anyone who is at all aware of the people around them will notice the gun. Heavy printing, 1/2 exposed, etc.
