Dave,
Thanks for posting that brief video. Ron Paul is a candidate that most news media organizations use much hyperbole If they mention him at all, because they don't like what he stands for. He is generally a good person, and worthy of looking at. Where as McCain has many things he has done which lend towards suspicion.
I may be LDS but I never voted for Mitt because he shares my religious preference, I voted for him because of what I have witnessed him do on large scale. He is a good business man, Lord knows we could use one in the White House. He was able to lead in a very liberal state where he was looked on favorably. He was the only person to bring about an Olympics which was not in the red, but in the Black and brought a lot of money to this state for improvements. Overall he was good for us. Religion never entered into the mix and this is the way most individuals I have spoken with have felt.
It was a shame to see the abuses and lies from Huckabee. The Southern Block vote became very biased because Huckabee, a former Baptist minister, was able to instill biased and unfounded fears into the majority Baptist Southern areas of the country. This was wrong. This was, and definitely is dirty politicking and it is disgusting.
Then on the Democratic side of the election issue we have a former Muslim who now belongs to a church which admittedly works only towards helping Africa. This would seem to give the appearance of a divided loyalty, especially as Obama refuses to say our Pledge of Allegiance, or even to respectfully just cover his heart with his hand. It doesn't give me much confidence in his being honest withthe country should he be elected and his decisions could be considered suspect.
At this time I do not know whom I would vote for, the only thing I absolutely know is that there is no way in Heck that I want Hillary to assume the reins of control again in this country!
Perhaps if McCain chose Mitt to be his reunning mate (it could happen?), or Ron Paul, we might have a stronger chance of having a reasonable presidential candidate and vice presidential running mate. One can hope can't he?
Just my thoughts--again thanks to Dave for that informative video.
:? :?:
