The reporter said he will be available on Wednesday or Thursday. Which day can we get the best turnout, and where should we meet? I am thinking downtown Salt Lake City for this one.

Either works for me. I don't have my gun yet, but I'll definitely show for support! If I can get my UT DL before then (waiting on new SS card), then I can show my support with my (OCed and unchambered, no CFP yet) gun :)

Well this could really suck.

I don't get off work until 6:00pm & Mrs. Magnum has to be at work by 9:00pm. So unless the dinner was going to be no further away than Provo, we would not be able to make it.

My wife and I are available on both nights and we would love to come. Just let us know when and where. :D

Not to belabor a point, but everybody who open carries to this event, let's be squeaky-clean on it. That means, just for those who haven't heard yet, that if you do not have a CFP (concealed firearm permit), you must carry your gun openly and unloaded.

Yeah, I know... :beathorse:

Also, it would be very poor form at a restaurant to remove the gun from its holster, even just to show it off to the reporter (or especially to show it off). Guns should stay firmly seated in holsters. That's the safe thing to do. Let's look very professional and safe in front of a national audience.

Stepping down from soapbox now ... carry on...
