I have a 1911 project I am working on that should be finished in about a month. When I get done I would like to have the frame and some of the parts hardchromed.

Is there anyone in Utah that provides this service? Preferrably in the Ogden or Salt Lake area.

I used to use Tripp research but they no longer do hard chrome. http://techplate.com/firearms.htm is who Paul Liebenberg uses; if there is anyone I would trust to know who does good hard chrome it would be Mr. Liebenberg.

Here is a list of others that do hard chrome:
Metaloy
APW Cogan
Fords Guns
Robar
Techplate
Metalife
Rebel
Black T (coating) - 601-939-74488
Elite Custom Guns
Bear Coat

Thanks for the list but I need someone local if possible due to the high cost of shipping. Last project I did cost $100 round trip. :(

No one does it locally. There is significant requirements in equipment, space, and expertise involved beyond what a gunsmith typically does. Even the biggest shops send their guns out.
