I carry a Ruger P95 in a Galco M7X matrix holster, which doesn't cover very much of the gun. So there are a few places on my slide where the blueing is being worn off like the corners, the safety and slide release levers, and edges. Down to the bare steel. The problem I'm having is that when I carry my gun and it's held close to my body, it makes me sweat under my firearm which makes my shirt wet, which makes my gun wet with salty water, we can see how this is a problem. Is there a finish that's more durable for my slide than the factory blueing and if so, how much is it going to cost me? Thanks.

Give Joe (Gunsmith) at FBMG a call, he's a really nice guy and can point you in the right direction.

I suggest haveing the slide or the whole pistol duracoated. You will regain a great look to the pistol and the clear coat prevents rust very well. If you have the whole pistol done it is $100 for just the slide it is $75. Come on in to the shop if you would like to discuss it.

The P95 is a great gun. I use to have one myself. Shot tight groups.
