After something is sold the person should delete or have the thread locked.
People say I should not carry because it's not the Wild West. I say I carry because its much worse. Only 3 people died at the at the O.K. Corral and its a part of our nations history. If 3 people died in a 30 sec shootout today It might not make the news.

If someone posts in the thread other than the person who made the thread, the original post cannot be deleted by the original poster. Just an FYI.
Also, usually people will put SOLD or something in the title of the thread to indicate that the item(s) are no longer available. This doesn't always happen though.

Please spell "ads" correctly ;-)

I would prefer everyone just mark them 'sold' in the title, that way others can see what they are going for at the time of the sale.

It's a good idea for the originators of these threads to edit their OP to put "SOLD" in the title. Regardless, each thread in the classifieds section gets automatically purged if no replies have been made to it in a period of 60 days. This is explained in this thread.

By the way, it's a good idea to put this kind of request thread into the Rules, Comments, Complaints, and Concerns forum where they will more likely get administrator attention. I've just moved it there for you.
