H.B. 68 PROTECTION OF STATE PARK RESOURCES, (http://le.utah.gov/~2014/bills/static/HB0068.html) by Rep. Pitcher, Dixon M is not directly a gun bill, but would impact RKBA by imposing felony penalties for almost any act of vandalism in a State park. By including the cost of employee time and expert assessments, and setting a threshold of $1500 for felonies, almost any vandalism could be elevated to a felony based on total cost to repair.

I think the bill goes too far and is an excessive response to the unfortunate incident of the so-called "goblin valley topplers".

I agree vandalism in a state park should not be treated any different than vandalism any other place. Also not a fan of knee jerk reactions to create laws based on a single incident. Waste of money for no real gain.
