Permit fees reduced

Postby UtahJarhead » Fri 13 Jun 2014 2:30 pm

Dear Concealed Firearm Permit Instructor,

Effective July 1, 2014 the application fee for a resident of Utah to apply for a concealed firearm permit will be changed to $41. The application fee for a non-resident of Utah will not change. It will continue to be $51.

I had no idea this was coming down the pipe, but I do like it!

BCI ended up with a $2.3 million surplus.
Since they are only supposed to charge the actual cost of materials and processing, the fees will be lowered to compensate.
I need a new signature. This one sucks.

I know the reason for it, but I thought that was why it was reduced to $46 to begin with.

In the same letter, it indicated that the application form is changing to reflect the fee changes as well as other changes that are being made to the application...

I sent in my application a while ago and have been sitting here for a while waiting for my credit card to be charged, but it has not yet. I'm sure they'll process it before the amount is reduced, though.
