Effective July 1, 2014 the application fee for a resident of Utah to apply for a concealed firearm permit will be changed to $41. The application fee for a non-resident of Utah will not change. It will continue to be $51.
BCI ended up with a $2.3 million surplus.
Since they are only supposed to charge the actual cost of materials and processing, the fees will be lowered to compensate.
In the same letter, it indicated that the application form is changing to reflect the fee changes as well as other changes that are being made to the application...

Other changes: Sex: [Male] [Female] [Yes] [No] [I don't care.] [I don't know.] [I don't want you to know.]
I sent in my application a while ago and have been sitting here for a while waiting for my credit card to be charged, but it has not yet. I'm sure they'll process it before the amount is reduced, though.
