Is Utah Code 34-45-103 re guns in cars at worksites valid?

Postby Karl » Tue 15 Aug 2017 11:17 am

I have googled the issue of guns in cars in Utah and come up with Utah Code Sec 34-45-103.

The salient portion of this statute states that employers who wish to prohibit guns in vehicles in their parking lots must provide an alternative parking lot for vehicles with guns or else there must be convenient public access parking available for vehicles with guns.

Is anyone up to date on this issue?

Is this statute still valid or has it been recently amended?

Anybody else have an issue like this at work?

As far as remedies go, is reporting the company to the State AG the most

Wow!

This forum is really dead.

I guess that's what can happen when the Legislature does not act on expensive albeit illogical gun related propositions.

You'll all get over it. Don't worry.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
