Compound bow for 12yo boy

I was told shooting a bow in your backyard is considered the same as discharging a weapon. That was from one of the salesmen at Humphries archery in American Fork but I have never fact checked his advice.

I know this info is a wee late but as far as a good bow for a 12 yr old I found 3 good options if you are willing to shell out 300 - 400 bucks.

Hoyt Ruckus- great bow and the one my 13 yr old son picked after trying quite a few different set ups.

Diamond Infinite Edge - My 11 yr old daughter wants this bow. Shoots great and was my sons 2nd choice.

Mission Craze- another great bow with the most adjustability of all 3 I listed but was a tad bit heavier than the other 2.

Off topic, but as I re-read the title of this thread I thought....I bet there are lots of people that would trade a 12 yo boy for a compound bow, but not many that would trade a compound bow for a 12 yo boy. In other words, great trade, for the person getting the bow.
