Each person granted access to the system has access to just their directory tree. I've never given people access to phpMyAdmin, thus someone felt compelled to install it in the one place they could have access to it.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter at this point as I've learned enough to know it wasn't an authorized use of the server, and removed the offending directory. I am not a full time system administrator, but I do know enough about how it works to get by.

Hey Scott, sorry I missed this thread about three weeks ago. It's been crazy for me at work for many weeks now.
I'm sure that the phpMyAdmin that you found had nothing to do with Thomas, and it sure had nothing to do with me.
Sounds like a DOS attack.
