Maybe laugh isn't the right word - anguished grunt, perhaps?

This quote in particular:

"Sutton pointed out the contract doesn’t preclude the carrying of weapons by those with concealed-carry permits.

“But, according to the permit, they have to remain concealed,” Sutton said."

Would be nice if a "journalist" would ask for the law that requires this. There is no such thing.

It is amazing how many LEOs have this same misunderstanding. They believe that a concealed permit means that it has to be concealed. What they don't seem to realize is the permit is required for concealment but doesn't restrict carrying to concealed carry. It is the same logic that causes misguided LEOs to demand an OC'er with a permit to carry unloaded.

Nationwide recognized permits would solve some of these problems.
Even better, nationwide, permitless carry would solve a lot more problems.

WE need to be less accomodating

From the linked article:
“The whole gun thing, it was a concern because we know it’s very divisive,” Trentelman said.

Divisive?

Kind of like two guys holding hands or otherwise making clear they are romantically involved?

Kind of like large black men sitting in college classrooms next to petite little white girls?

Kind of like Mormons in 1830s Missouri or a couple of men of Middle Eastern descent sitting in the passenger cabin of a commercial airliner while wearing Islamic clothing?

That kind of divisive, Mr. Trentelman?

Because gun owners are really not interested in crawling into the closet so recently exited by the homosexual community. And we sure are not going to endure the segregation and discrimination imposed on racial minorities during a much less enlightened period in our nation's history.

Don't like guns? Don't buy one. Don't like the look of mine on my hip? Look away just like I'm expected to look away from billboards or movies that might offend me.
