LGS with best ammo prices? Utah County

Taking my buddy out shooting for his birthday. Looking to buy some ammo today. Has anyone done any comparisons on ammo prices with the local gun stores in Utah County?

Looking to pick up some 223/5.56, .45, 12 ga, .490 lead balls. Has anyone noticed who has the best overall prices for that ammo between stores like Ready Gunner, Sportsmans, Get Some, Gunnies, Dick's, etc?

I'm not in that area, but with how many answers you have received, you should probably just call each store and get their prices. Then go to the cheapest one.

I never buy ammo locally cause you get screwed. I always buy online in bulk.
Gunnies in Orem does tend to have good prices on ammo though.

Yeah the problem is that it was kind of short notice plus I can't afford bulk right now due to some big trips coming up and eating my money.. but after my trip to Havasupai in June I plan on starting to bulk up on ammo.

For what it's worth, I checked out Get Some and Gunnies. Get Some had the best prices for .45, Gunnies had best prices for .223. (Between those two. Didn't get a chance to check the other LGS)

Freedom munitions has a free shipping sale again this weekend on ammo. I bought 1000 rounds of 124 gr 9mm couple weeks ago and I've shot about 500 rounds and it's been great. I paid about $230/1000.
They have good prices and good ammo.

I would recommend getting a lot more than that. 100 rounds will last one range session and then you'll have to pay $20 a box again at local prices.

I would love to, but even $26 worth of ammo is more than I can afford. Gonna be having an extra Fast Sunday this month.

Are the 180gr RNFP Reman rounds that are selling on Freedom Munitions for $14.39 per 50 better than Federal American Eagle rounds? I can get 50 Federal AE rounds for $13 and change at Cabelas.

They are very similar. They both shoot great. Get whatever works money wise. If Cabela's is really far away, it might be cheaper to get it online. If it's close, go to Cabela's.

If the local price is $13.56 or lower before tax, it would be cheaper to buy local. Only about a penny per box, but still cheaper. That's if you get free shipping online, which won't last too much longer.
