I grew up in Laketown, the main place people go to shoot is up Laketown Canyon.
Next to the run-away truck ramp is a dirt road. It is usually good enough for cars to go on. But if you head up that road just a little ways you'll see a dirt berm on the left hand side, and a pull-out that locals and everyone else shoots at. Usually some junk, and spent casings on the ground too. That's how you know you're in the right place.
