UCC Photo Scrapbook

This is a place you can feel free to talk about just about any thing you want. As long as it is family-rated of course.

I don't know what happened...

Postby ian husford » Thu 29 Aug 2013 7:26 am

when my new gun got up, ran out of the house and down the road. :(

It was caught fully loaded and without a permit. It was promptly arrested! Handcuffs and all:

It didn't shoot anyone, thank goodness. I had to go down to the local police and show proof that I owned it. It was returned to me sans ammo. And it was good ammo, Hydroshocks, 13 of them.

:crying:

So now my gun has a criminal record and it can't own itself. It has to sell itself. Wait, that sounds like prostitution. It is getting worse!

:nilly:

Decided to toss this up here. The 1911 hasn't been out in a while, so I gave it a picture opportunity.

I tagged a doe antelope at Deseret Land and Livestock yesterday. My 7 year-old son was along for the fun.

Congrats! Looks fun. I need to start looking into some different hunts. I'm under .500 for drawing a general deer tag in the last seven years, my Wasatch elk's probably still a ways out, and my one in a lifetime, well you get the hint. I really NEED to hunt SOMETHING!

Spike elk hunt with my brother in law on Boulder mountain. We both filled our tag and this is where they fell.

jktseug,
Awesome! Looks like you had your work cut out getting those guys out in that terrain.

Thankfully my brother in law has horses so we hiked out and brought them back to help get the elk out. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. We were pretty happy and amazed to get both opening morning so close together.

Right now it is in someone else's, butchering comes on Friday/Saturday and then my freezer will be full. It will be very nice, and will be my wifes first time trying elk.

I think the Elk around here tastes better than the mule deer.

Bragging time.
You can't tell from the pic but this is a father / son Distinguished Graduate pair of certificates from Front Sight 4-Day Defensive Handgun class!
Yup, that means I have my 13 year-old son to accompany me to the Advanced Tactics classes!
This was my second try and my sons first!

That's a pretty special picture, Paul, and I do believe your son looks like he might be just a little bit proud! Good work both of you, it's nice when your kids share your interests!
