I looked back through my posts, and it was Midway USA that I snagged the mags from.

I have been having the same problem with mine as well. From the very first range trip it would experience a similar failure to complete the loading of the next round. A simple tap on the end of the slide with the right thumb usually completes the process... Not very impressive when sharing with your ex-navy uncle
Thanks for the advice about C-M mags, I will have to order one or two. Any idea what part of the stock mag is causing the problem and can it be trimmed or bent?

Armscor pistools like this often have a bit of a break in period. Make sure you do a complete field strip and oil/grease it up after each trip to the range. My Charles Daly had similar issues but after about 500 rds and making sure I kept it clean all my issues went away. Your feed ramp may need to be polished as well.

I got C.M. mags at a little gun shop on South Redwood. I think it is just South of the tracks that cross redwood around 6500 or 70th South on East side of Redwood.
The 7 rounders.
I may end up a victim, but I won't be a helpless victim.

Any updates on how the RIA is treating you?
I've been looking at 1911's lately, and RIA has a nice price

It looks like it is feeding forward of the extractor. And that the extractor is resting on the rear of the case. I don't know anything about this gun buts mags sound like a good idea, but does your extractor look alright?

I think that's the same gun he brought to a range session they we went to a few months back. If it is, it wasn't having issues when we were at the range.

Here is my review thread on the same gun if it interests anyone. It's long since traded, but a 9mm ria 1911 is on the short list.

Awesome Zach. Nice write up.
RIA seems like the best 1911 for me just jumping into the world of 1911's.

This is still the gun I carry daily, and no - mine is not having this issue anymore.
Yes it's the round feeding in front of the extractor. A few good lubes and some range time fixed this very quickly.

After carrying this one for over a year, I have one complaint and one complaint only... It's HEAVY.

I've found myself at the local shops fondling the Kimber Ultra Carry 2... a whole pound difference...
