I'll make this short and include a few target pictures. Please, not "too much" heckling from the peanut gallery. This is my first 1911 and the first time I've shot a .45 auto. First impression, this model comes with a competition barrel and trigger. The trigger in dry firing is buttery smooth, I've never felt anything that just fit me as well as this one seems to. I bought it back in June, but this is the first time I've taken it to the range. I don't think I'll be carrying my 9mm's anytime soon.
First target is one magazine to the torso on the target and one to the head [img] [/img]
The second is a round target type with one magazine and the pistol.
Last is actually the first target, with one magazine to the body of the target. [img] [/img]
It's the first time I've been shooting since May, and I can see this only getting better. I'm sure in the hands of some of you this one would be a real tack driver. Oh, I shot about 80 rounds of Spirit ammunition, manufactured here in Utah. I had one fail to feed, and I think it was my wimpy wrist as it was near the end of the run and I was getting tired. I slipped the round in the middle of the next mag and it fed just fine.
